Mabel Lamb, Executive Director of the Sherman Park Community Association, Inc., and Ifeoluwapo “Ife” Tolorunju, the organization’s Sustainability Specialist, will receive 2026 African American Environmental Pioneer Awards on Monday, February 16. They will be honored for their service to the Milwaukee community, the planet and environmental sustainability. Mabel is one of six recipients in the Pioneer Awardees category, and Ife is one of six recipients in the Rising Star Awardees category.
According to the AAEPA Planning Committee, “These awards were first held in 2020, in an effort to recognize African‐American community members who have dedicated themselves to work in service of the Milwaukee community, and the planet, through their work in environmental conservation, sustainability, or advocacy.”
