SPCA currently oversees two programs that provide homeowners with resources to make needed repairs. We also work with the City of Milwaukee to provide residents with information about other programs available to them city wide.
SPCA has a long tradition of community organizing for neighborhood empowerment through block watches and quality of life issues. We are now utilizing social media to organize residents across their immediate neighborhoods around the larger issues that affect Sherman Park.
“When my wife and I moved back to Milwaukee thirty-one years ago, we decided that we wanted to live in Sherman Park. We were both educators; we valued a diverse neighborhood. Ours is a neighborhood of fantastic houses. We found our block to be perfect for raising children; there was a perfect mix of children and diverse families. From the many house tours celebrating our Sherman Park community to the many problem solving folks in our community, we celebrate life in a unique 21st Century Neighborhood.”

“What I love the most about living in Sherman Park Community the since of history and hope for those that have invested in the community. I love the variety of well made bungalow style homes some with large porches and full size attics made of brick, Lannon stone or wood. What I love most about my bungalow style duplex is that it has the beautiful woodwork, cabinetry, hard wood floors, leaded and stain glass windows.”
