Good news! With the help of those who stepped forward, we completed the phone banking list assigned to Sherman Park. Thanks to all of you who worked to make calls to over 1,000 people.

We continue to canvas the wards in Sherman Park. We still have a long way to go however, we are making a dent in our list of residents. If there are residents who are able to help us continue to canvas, please call the SPCA office at (414) 444-9803, or call Celia Jackson at (414) 737-5844.  We pay $20/hour for canvassers.

Last week we had several voter registration events and were able to get some people registered:

  • The Bucks Watch Party sponsored by Working Families at the Mecca Sports Bar, 1134 N. Vel Phillips Ave., Thursday, October 10 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
  • The Uppa Yard, 4943 W. Fond du Lac Ave., Friday, October 11 from 3-6 pm.
  • St. Catherine’s Food Pantry, 5101 W. Center St., Saturday, October 12 from 9-11 am.
  • Life Church, 5511 W. Burleigh St., Saturday, October 12 from 10-12 am.
  • Sherman Park Grocery Store, 4315 W. Fond du Lac Ave, Saturday, October 12.
  • Good Shepherd Trinity Church, 3302 N. Sherman Blvd., Tuesday, October 14 from 8:30-10:00 am.
