Our neighbors on the east border of Sherman Park are hosting a groundbreaking extravaganza for the newly redeveloped Melvina Park at 29th and Melvina Streets! Join them on Saturday, April 29, from 12 noon – 2 pm for a Community Groundbreaking Celebration where you can learn about the project, ask questions and get information on construction-related impacts. Lunch will be provided. Then return at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 3, for the Formal Groundbreaking Event, featuring Mayor Johnson and other elected officials, project partners, stakeholders and the local media.
