The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report, “No safe blood lead level in children has been identified. Even low levels of lead in blood are associated with developmental delays, difficulty learning, and behavioral issues.” Therefore, the Sherman Park Community Association will have lead safe home kits available for families with children ages 4-6 years old.
Each free kit includes a water filter pitcher specifically designed to filter out lead, two extra filters, lead safety educational materials and more. A child must be present to receive a free kit. Kits will be available while supplies last.
