You’re invited to a critical town hall meeting where we’ll address the upcoming closure of Pick ‘n Save stores across the city, and we’ll discuss how to fight for food justice in our neighborhoods. You’ll gather with our neighbors in the Metcalfe Park community to our east to:
- Hear the concerns of our community members directly impacted by this closure.
- Demand that the Metcalfe Park Pick ‘n Save at 35th and Meinecke remain open past July 18th to allow time to identify a grocer committed to serving our community.
- Review initial community feedback and survey results around this issue.
- Plan our next steps together, including a community-led campaign, a press conference and coordinated days of action.
This conversation is urgent. Our communities deserve access to fresh food and dignity in how decisions about our lives are made. The organizers need your voice, your ideas and your support. A light dinner will be available.
