Parents, give your kids an unforgettable summer experience. Camps for Kids was launched in 1994 to provide life-changing, first-time resident camp experiences for children from families with limited financial resources. Scholarship recipients are boys and girls, ages 7 to 15, from racially diverse backgrounds who lack access to one-to-two-week overnight camp experiences. So far, the organization has sent more than 6,500 children to resident camp.
Camping is a high-return activity, one that often has a profound impact on the life of a child, especially a child who has few other opportunities for getting out of the city. Youth who attend a Camps for Kids summer camp enter a setting that includes opportunity, new experiences and independence. Choose from a variety of camps, depending on your children’s needs and interests. Some camps fill quickly so it is always good to have a couple of options.
