Young people 15 to 17½ years old are invited to take a free RRYDE. That stands for “Road Ready Youth Driver’s Education.” To be eligible, the young person must be enrolled in a school program or high school equivalency program or have graduated, and must be at or below 150% of the Federal poverty level. All youth accepted into the RRYDE program must attend an orientation session on September 14, with mandatory classes over the following two weeks.
