NID Annual Board Meeting

As we carry on the seventh year of the Sherman Park Neighborhood Improvement District #4 (NID) grants for home repairs, we must do things a bit differently this year in response to COVID-19.

An important feature of the annual meeting is the election of up to nine board members for the next year. Candidates running so far are listed below. We welcome new members, so if YOU are interested in running, please contact us by Monday, February 1st to get your name on the ballot. The board meets about 4-7 times a year to discuss NID policies and activities.

Voting will be done online during the meeting. If you prefer to vote on a hard copy ballot, you may come to the SPCA office before Feb 4, 2021 at 5 pm. Call to set up an appointment at (414) 444-9803. Results will be posted on this website.
At the annual meeting, we will have a summary of projects completed in 2020, with an account of how your neighbors used grant monies to improve the neighborhood. Added bonus: Dr. Heinrich Kunsmann will be our special guest to discuss the Sherman Griffin Music School, a project to be located at 3825 W. Center St. in the near future.
2021 NID Grant Applications: In years past, the SPCA Housing Resource Fair had been the place to get NID applications. With COVID restrictions on meetings, we will make the applications downloadable at the SPCA website at www.ShermanPark.org, or in person at the SPCA office from March 1st – 15th. The important date is when to turn them in, because the annual pool of money is usually allotted by noon the same day. So, mark Saturday, March 20th from 9 :00am – noon at the SPCA office located at 3526 W. Fond du Lac Ave. on your calendar, and don’t be late. First come, first served!
Also, take note of the revised instructions on the application, because we won’t be able to make copies for you as in years past. You must have copies of all required documents to turn in with your application. We look forward to seeing you on February 2, 2021!
