Lowe’s and several stores from the Wisconsin / Iowa area will host a “Community Day of Action,” sponsored by Lowe’s Region #4 Black Store Managers Council.
9:00a.m.- 12:00 noon- Lowe’s Team and community volunteers, including students from Washington High School, will clean-up and do a restoration at the park to include: landscape replacement, refurbishment of the community raised bed garden, refresh of the circuit exercise area and a paint refresh of exterior portions of the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club.
12:00 noon- Lowe’s will host a community lunch to be served to the morning participants, local residents, community leaders and Milwaukee Municipal officials.
1:00p.m.- Speakers from Lowe’s Region#4 Black Store Managers Council, Municipal and Community Leaders will speak about the importance of corporate / community partnerships and Lowe’s 15-year relationship with Sherman Park.
1:30p.m.- 3:00p.m.- The Lowe’s team will begin the distribution of Care Packages for the community. This will include cleaning products, paper products and masks. The Milwaukee Fire Department will be on site distributing Lowe’s provided smoke detectors and offering to sign up residents for free installation of the smoke detectors by MFD. Finally, Lowe’s will demonstrate and distribute window insulation kits to assist the community with weatherizing their homes for the upcoming winter.
