Loading Events

The City of Milwaukee has postponed this hearing, thanks to public outcry. However, according to the information we have, the proposal is not dead. Rumor has it that it will be rescheduled for June, 2026. In the meantime, SPCA will keep you updated on this proposal and its implications.

The City of Milwaukee is entertaining a proposal to allow a computer data center to be built on the Midtown Center property on N. 60th Street, just north of Capitol Drive. The City Plan Commission will hold a public hearing regarding the proposal on Monday, May 18, at 1:30 pm. This will be a public hearing, and it will be hosted both in-person and online. Those wishing to provide testimony can do so by attending the meeting in City Hall’s 1st Floor Boardroom, by participating virtually, or by emailing the commission at least one business day prior to the start of the meeting.

Show up in person or online! Give your testimony! Let the City know how our community feels about a data center in our midst!
